Playing backgammon can be exciting, particularly if you know how to win by playing properly. But every now and then a tip or two can assist you even more and develop you into a more accomplished competitor.

One of the best game plans to succeed is to lock your opponent in. It’ll prevent them from shifting their checkers out of your home board. This must be accomplished early in the game to hold your adversaries two pieces in your home boardthere. So you need to shift your checkers to points 7, five, and four as rapidly as as you can and even 2 and three if at all possible. Maintain your point of 6 with the six pieces as it is. This will guarantee that your challenger cannot get out of your home board and aid your odds of blocking them in to win.

By barracading your opposition in, they will be looking for double 6’s as soon as all other moves have been made to get those two checkers from your home board. If doubles aren’t tossed, your challenger will be compelled to shift 1 piece at a time, as long as they get a six or greater, and leave 1 piece behind and vulnerable. Of course while moving your own pieces, be certain you don’t leave 1 abandoned where your opposition can send you off the board to go through their side.

When you are not sure what to do, hit. This can help you win mainly because once your competitor is hit, that checker is the checker they need to move before they can do anything else on the board. So if you hit them several times, they’ll have to return several checkers back on the board and get past your pieces to win. Be certain you do not hit where it’ll make you vulnerable to getting hit yourself. Unless of course it will be advantageous to you, as in early in the game when your competitor won’t have you locked in.

Landing a hit when you have a block started can also be great due to the fact that as soon as you get a couple of spots barricaded, your opponent will have a harder time moving their pieces away from your home board and beating you. It is even possible to hit them a number of times and get your barricade set. That way you can barricade them from returning to the game and even being offered a chance at beating you.

These two tips are not the only strategy to win, but they are exceptional ideas for novices to become more skillfull players. When you master these, being victorious most of the time won’t seem to be such a difficult thing to do.
