The objective of a Backgammon game is to shift your checkers around the game board and bear them from the board faster than your competitor who works harder to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. The Running Game Technique
The goal of the Running Game tactic is to lure all your chips into your inner board and get them off as fast as you can. This tactic focuses on the speed of shifting your pieces with absolutely no efforts to hit or barricade your opponent’s chips. The best time to use this technique is when you think you might be able to move your own pieces a lot faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your opponent’s pieces; or 3) the opponent does not employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary aim of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your pieces rapidly. As soon as you have created the barrier for the competitor’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other chips quickly from the game board. The player should also have a clear plan when to back off and move the pieces that you used for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opposition utilizes the same blocking tactic.
