The goal of a Backgammon match is to move your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces from the board faster than your challenger who works just as hard to do the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a round of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. How far you can move your checkers is up to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and just how you move your chips are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a few tactics in the different parts of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The aim of the Running Game technique is to lure all your chips into your inside board and get them off as quick as you could. This plan focuses on the speed of shifting your chips with no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s chips. The ideal time to employ this plan is when you believe you can move your own chips quicker than the opponent does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking strategy.

The Blocking Game Technique

The main aim of the blocking technique, by its title, is to block your opponent’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your chips quickly. As soon as you have created the barrier for the competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can move your other pieces swiftly off the game board. You really should also have a clear plan when to back off and shift the chips that you used for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the competitor uses the same blocking strategy.
