The Running Game Plan
The aim of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your checkers into your home board and get them off as quick as you could. This tactic focuses on the pace of advancing your chips with little or no time spent to hit or block your opponent’s checkers. The ideal scenario to employ this plan is when you believe you can move your own checkers quicker than your opposition does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) your opponent does not employ the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary aim of the blocking plan, by the title, is to stop the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your chips quickly. After you have created the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other chips rapidly off the game board. You really should also have an apparent strategy when to extract and move the pieces that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when your opposition uses the same blocking strategy.
