The objective of a Backgammon game is to shift your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear them from the game board faster than your opponent who works harder to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a game of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and fortune. How far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and how you shift your checkers are decided on by your overall playing tactics. Players use differing strategies in the different stages of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The goal of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you could. This technique concentrates on the speed of moving your pieces with little or no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The best scenario to employ this strategy is when you believe you can shift your own chips a lot faster than the opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s chips; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary goal of the blocking strategy, by its title, is to stop the opponent’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about shifting your pieces quickly. After you’ve established the blockade for your opponent’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other chips quickly from the game board. You should also have a clear strategy when to extract and shift the chips that you used for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
